Applying to nursing school may seem like a daunting task, especially early on in the process. But with the team of dedicated admissions advisors at both our Indianapolis and Nashville ABSN program sites, the process of enrolling in accelerated nursing school is actually a lot more streamlined than you might think.
“The admissions process for me was pretty smooth,” says Kristen Walker, ABSN Class of May 2018.
If you’re considering applying to ABSN program at Marian University, one of your first steps is an initial informal call with one of our admissions advisors. Their sole job is to assist prospective ABSN students navigate the nursing school enrollment process. This includes anything and everything from:
• Reviewing your academic history to confirm your enrollment eligibility.
• Helping you determine if you and our 16-month accelerated program are a good match.
• Creating a prerequisite completion plan that targets your desired start date — January, May, or August.
If our program is a good fit you and your goals, he or she also stays in regular contact with you from your first call through your first day of nursing school to ensure you stay on track with and support you during your prerequisite courses and application deadlines. That’s something to which Hannah McNabb, ABSN Class of August 2019, can personally attest.
“Working with my admissions advisor was a joy. You could tell she’s knowledgeable about the program. She was supportive throughout the whole process,” says Hannah, ABSN Class of May 2019, who contacted her admissions advisor June and started classes in August. “It was a very thorough process but it went very quickly and she was very attentive.”
