We should definitely be spending at least 10 minutes on a foam roller a few days per week, foam rolling our way to improve our mobility.

Mobility is being able to move freely with ease.

What the foam roller does, is it allows us to know how our bodies are feeling before we start a workout. If we roll over a spot and it's a little tender, it's an area of concern and we should pay attention to that while training.

If an area hurts or is extremely uncomfortable while foam rolling, try rolling around a certain area away from the pain, or stop it all together if sharp shooting pain in that area persists.

We're not going to thoroughly enjoy this at first.

Most people (including myself sometimes) don't do this enough, because we say it hurts, we just don't feel like it, or we rather go warm in a different way.

There's a lot of different ways to warm-up, yet, foam rolling occasionally let's you know how you're feeling before you even get in a training session.

We shouldn't wait for something to hurt before we start massaging or trying to loosen up an area on our body.

We should be doing this every day before we workout.

Thorough warm-ups prevent potential future injuries. Be smart before you start training.

Our muscles get super tight whether we workout or are sedentary. No one has the perfect posture, but we can all try and make it better.

Just because something hurts doesn't mean you should't treat it right?

Don't live with an injury or an area of discomfort and think that's just the way life is. We need to treat these problems.

I think it's fair to say that the average person doesn't get many deep tissue massages. That's another way of getting rid of those tight spots and relieving pain or areas of discomfort, is having someone help do it for you.

I regularly see a massage therapist every other week for deep tissue work.

I STILL have to perform mobility, because as hard as I train, I'm usually always tweaking a muscle just a little bit every month.

It's impossible to always avoid injuries, but we can use them as opportunities to become stronger as our bodies are letting us know there's something going on.

If you have gotten hurt in the past or you are experiencing some tightness in your muscles right now, I would totally give this workout a shot, or even try performing a few of my other mobility videos that do not require any equipment at all.
