In this class, we continue to do riyaz or practice of shuddha swar (pure notes). The main focus of this class it to practice the riyaz in "Aakar", which is singing the notes in the syllable "aa". We learn to practice many different combinations of notes in different rhythms. These combinations are called Swar Alankar. To set the rhythm, we use an app on the iPhone called the iTablaPro. This app can be set to an appropriate key suitable to your voice range. It can also be set to a desired rhythm, and you can increase or decrease the speed based on your riyaz needs.
