Ingredients:

1. For the Modak Shell:
2 fresh Paan leaves
1 cup desiccated coconut
½ cup condensed milk
½ tsp rose water
2-3 drops green food color (optional)

2. For the Stuffing:
2 Tbsp Gulkand
1 Tbsp Tutti Frutti
1 Tbsp chopped cherries
1 Tbsp colorful Saunf (fennel seeds)


Method:

1. Prepare the Modak Shell:
Using a Sil Batta, grind the fresh Paan leaves into a fine paste.
In a mixing bowl, combine the desiccated coconut, condensed milk, rose water, Paan paste, and green food color (if using). Mix well until it forms a smooth mixture. Set it aside.

2.Prepare the Stuffing:
In a small bowl, mix together Gulkand, Tutti Frutti, chopped cherries, and colorful Saunf. Set aside.

3.Shaping the Modak:
Take the Modak mold. Instead of applying ghee, skip greasing as per your preference.
First, add a layer of the Paan coconut mixture to the mold and gently press it to form a cavity in the center.
Fill the cavity with the Gulkand stuffing mixture.
Carefully seal the Modak by pressing more of the Paan coconut mixture on top.
Open the mold gently and Demould the Modak.

4. Garnishing:
*Garnish the Modak with colorful Saunf for an extra festive touch.
