Adventure Island NES 1LC 1 life clear no deaths no miss no continues

Welcome to Adventure Island on NES with no deaths! This was played on a real Nintendo, no emulator was used.

As usual, I played about an hour 4-5 times per week till I pulled this off. I started practicing mid-June. I started with the goal of finishing the game without continuing and finally pulled it off in the beginning of August. I decided to keep chugging away towards the no-death run and finally did it on September 22, 2017.

Unlike most games I've mastered, this one has the unique distinction of having no randomness whatsoever. However, don't let that fool you. The demand on the player is absolutely bonkers.
This is one of the most challenging games I've ever finished.

The hardest stages to do on one go are definitely 7-1, 8-2, and 8-3. The jumps at the end of 8-3 are always terrifying. It always feels like you're about to die, even if you do it perfectly. When I made it to 8-4, that's when I started to really get nervous. (My heart was beating so hard during 8-4 that I thought I was going to have a heart attack!). The rush when I finished this was intense!
