Daimakaimura ( Ghouls'n Ghosts ) Arcade - 1LC ( 1 Life Clear ) no miss 1CC ( 1 Credit Complete )

I am proud to present a 1LC (no deaths!) for Daimakaimura!

This run was accomplished on April 28, 2013. This run was played on my Japanese arcade machine, and video was taken via a direct feed.

This is a pretty tough game, but it is said that it is the easiest of all the Makaimura games. I haven't played the others enough to find out if that's true, but I can say that this one didn't take me all that long to beat. I was able to clear this game with one credit within a month after owning it, however, getting the perfect game took a total of 3.5 months due to the insane amount of randomness. No game of Daimakaimura is the same, and that's partly what makes this series so great.

This is the much harder Japanese version of the game, which features

-only 1 checkpoint per stage
-way less armor replacements
-harder bosses

Things go very wrong at some parts, yet I somehow pull through (due to skill, and as usual in these games, a lot of luck!). If you are going to attempt this, have patience. There are many spots in the game where the game can kill you or damage you, just because it wants to. Also, the key to success for me was figuring out the treasure chest system. Once you really understand it, the game comes alive!

The key to beating arcade games in this manner is to just keep practicing, but not enough to burn yourself out.
