How a Volcano Triggered the French Revolution

Описание к видео How a Volcano Triggered the French Revolution

In 1783, a major disaster struck Europe due to a flood of lava from a volcano which reached as high as 15,000 cubic meters per second. By the time the 8 month long eruption of the Laki fissure system in Iceland had ended, its gas emissions had been so significant that it caused several closely spaced famines. As a result, in my opinion, I believe that the infamous eruption of Laki can be directly listed as a cause of the French Revolution.

Note: I do not believe that the Laki eruption was the main cause, or only cause of the French Revolution, but I do think it was a minor cause.
