Pin Curl and Roller Pin up Hair Setting Tutorial

This is the Pin curl Pin up style of your dreams! I followed a 1940s pin curl setting pattern and comb out to create this look. I have added the diagrams and description form my 1940s hair book to this video (I own it but have no affiliation with the publishers)
Due to having very long and thick hair, I could not achieve the look on the back of the head for this style so I modified it to a low curl poof style with rollers. I like doing ½ pin curl ½ roller styles because it is very challenging to do pin curls on your own back of head. Especially with long hair, it is hard to get a persons wave. Rollers are much easier to manage! If you try the style with the back of head pin curls, please share with me. I’d love to see it!

You will need:
Setting lotion (lotta body in spray bottle)
Pin curl clips of any style (mine are vintage)
Rat tail comb
Clips to section hair
Bendy foam rollers of desired size, I use tiny about 1/2” ones
