This is how you replace the CCM plastic dial with steel parts when the latch pin tip breaks. Remove the old plastic pin and dial knob. Using the rubber dial and steel replacement parts, install the nut and spring into the dial. Insert the dial into the holder with the tapered end pointed towards the toe of the skate. Insert the steel latch pin into the channel making sure that it is inserted in the correct orientation, with curved side up. Screw the latch pin into the holder until it holds the blade in place.
