Welcome to this Weeks AI Only TimeLapse for Rome Total War, and today the rebels have been removed.

How will this effect the behaviour of the AI as they now start with extended borders. Will Rome still be able to dominate in a world like this?

There were a couple of settlements that remained rebel. Those were bugged and it crashed when I tried to fix it. I removed the garrison and spawned other armies factions nearby so that they could taken it a couple of turns after. It was the closest I could get.
