Jaiñkyrshah || Ha Khriang Ki Sur Myllung - Ft. Stupar Mawiong & Kynhun Tem Pynter

Happy World Music Week everyone! On this Musical week, Red FM in Collaboration with Czone Productions brings to you "Ha Khriang Ki Sur Myllung", a Mini Mountain Concert, where music and nature entwines together in harmony with some of Meghalaya's Finest Khasi Traditional-Folk Troupe and Artists that will give you a taste of the Abode of Clouds.

Stupar Mawiong and Kynhun Tem Pynter are a Khasi traditional folk troupe from Pynursla village, Meghalaya. The name of the song that they are performing is called “Jainkyrshah” which is a Khasi traditional attire that is worn by the Khasi women. The song talks about how in today’s generation people are influenced by other cultures to wear stylish clothes but have disregarded the ‘Jainkyrshah’ that is the attire that portrays the women’s honour, modesty, humility and Integrity and the one that is deeply connected to one’s roots. Stupar and Kynhun Tem Pynter wants to uphold this honour and respect and for it to grow just as how people’s knowledge continue to progress. But unfortunately as we see in today’s times the more developed we are, honour and respect seems to be fading by the day.
