It's A Man's-Woman's World - Irma Thomas - 1966

Описание к видео It's A Man's-Woman's World - Irma Thomas - 1966

Irma Thomas recorded an answer song to James Browns', It's A Man's Man's World, with her summer of 1966 release on the Imperial label, titled, It's A Man's - Woman's World. It was released as a Part 1 and flip side, Part 2, written by Nat Jones and Burke Jones. Contrary to the title, it's not a woman's liberation song by any stretch of the imagination! After all, it was 1966 and the women's lib movement hadn't really gotten underway yet but it's safe to say that this wouldn't have been chosen as an anthem for the movement!
