കമീലിയോൺ പാലക്കാട് പോലുള്ള വരണ്ട പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ മാത്രം ഉള്ളവരാണ്. കളർ ഷേഡുകൾ കുറച്ചെങ്കിലും നന്നായി മാറ്റാനുള്ള കഴിവ് അവർക്കാണ് ഉള്ളത്. നമ്മുടെ സാധാ ഓന്തൻ സാർ ആയ ഗാർഡൻ ലിസാർഡ് - കലോട്ടസ് വെർസി കളർ - പല കളർ ഷേഡുകളിൽ കാണാമെങ്കിലും അവർക്ക് ആർക്കും - നമ്മൾ ശൈലികളിൽ പറയും വിധം - ഓന്ത് നിറം മാറും പോലെ - നിറം മാറാനുള്ള കഴിവില്ല. ആൺ ഓന്തുകൾ പ്രജനന കാലത്ത് ഇണകളെ ആകർഷിക്കാൻ കഴുത്തും നെഞ്ചും ഒക്കെ ചുവപ്പ് രാശി പടർത്തി ഒരു അഴകിയ രാവണ പൂവാല രൂപം എടുക്കും എന്ന് മാത്രം. അല്ലാതെ അതിന് തന്നെ പച്ചയും നീലയും ചുവപ്പും കളർ മാറാനൊന്നും കഴിവില്ല.
