Best campsite in Scotland for hiking in Cairngorms

Braemar caravan park in the Invercauld estate, is within the Cairngorms national park, East highlands of Scotland and the perfect place to camp for 2 nights in our VW California T5 campervan. We hiked a local 4 mile route from the doorstep of the camp site among a scotts pine forest on the edge of the Balmoral estate, overlooking local mountains and glens.
This site is at the bottom of the Glenshee pass, where you can visit the ski centre or head the opposite way and head towards Balmoral and Loch Muick.
We visited the Farquharson's bar & kitchen for beer & food which is superb! Staff were amazing, food was really good and the atmosphere was perfect so add it to your list if you visit Braemar.
Van life is Scotland is so versatile, you have the option to wild camp or relax for a night or two at a campsite. In next weeks video we'll be camping off grid with no signal, no traffic and no people in sight!
