Partita Sopra L'Aria Della Folia di Spagna - Bernardo Pasquini

Описание к видео Partita Sopra L'Aria Della Folia di Spagna - Bernardo Pasquini

Italian composer, Bernardo Pasquini, lived from 1637-1710. He was organist at two basilicas in Rome, Santa Maria Maggiore and Santa Maria in Ana Coeli. His many compositions include operas, harpsichord works, and organ. For organ, his most notable works are based on the Folia, a ground bass from the Spanish tune. There are five variations in the Partita on the Aria La Folia, a Spanish tune. I use full organ with the trumpet stop on the historic Felgemaker Organ at Our Lady of Divine Providence-St. Casimir, Milwaukee. To get the full acoustics of the church, I decided to set the recording equipment down below in church.
