Now we focus on the software part to the Aster Mosfet. Taken from Gates website, "Please note: Trigger sensitivity and selector switching point cannot be set while programming via trigger." I have never done the programming thru the trigger to be honest. However, I am willing to bet it takes a very long time and can be quite difficult to follow.

Plus there are more options with the software that come in handy. For the small price to pay for the Gate USB Link, I recommend you buy it, you wont be sorry. I didn't go too deep into all the options the software has, but I will leave a link to the video I did when I programmed my first Aster in my Bolt AEG.

Also you can visit the Gate website to check it out. You can even upgrade your software to higher levels and play around with even more settings then the free verison. Meaning you can unlock even more modifications and personalization, but it is not needed for a vast majority of the programming.
Its also to note that when firmware updates coming out, you do not have to pay for them, These updates are free.

(IF you have sensativity to high pitch sounds you will want to turn the volume down at the start of the video, just a warning)

We focus on the 3 primary sensor areas in this calibration and check.

The Trigger, Sector gear and the Selector sensors.

While these test can be done at anytime after the physical install, I wanted to test them first before I fully reassembled the gearbox and the LMG. This way if there was a issue with the stickers (placement or adding a different one) Or a issue with the shimmed gear, I want to find out now.
