Southgate says Maguire, Shaw, Gordon, Saka and Stones are all ruled out of the game but the first three are progressing well, responds to Jude Bellingham winning the Champions a League with Real Madrid, what Bellingham is like as a person - praising his humility and respect, what it says that he could be going into the opening game of the 2024 Euros with the same back five that he had in his first game of the 2018 World Cup, what he hopes to learn from the two pre tournament warm up matches against Bosnia and Iceland, says the results always matter because if the scrutiny a bad one brings but for him it’s all about building to peak at the right time, whether any of the five young uncapped players could feature, what Bellingham needs to do in the coming week to recover and be ready for the tournament - saying he wants him to relax and make sure he’s also psychologically refreshed, whether not having Bellingham available to him could be a hindrance as they work on tactical elements.

Trippier talks about his fitness after struggling with a calf problem during the second half of the season, praises teammate Jude Bellingham and his maturity, talks about the injuries in the defensive unit saying that everybody has to be ready to step up when needed, how far he believes the squad can go and the evolution of the culture within the squad under Southgate and talks about captaining the side against Bosnia on Monday.
