Temporal at Yum! Brands: a year later | Replay 2023

Last year at Replay, Matt McDole delivered one of the most well-received talks of the conference. This year he will provide an update of the Yum! Brands journey with Temporal.

A few years ago, the central Digital Commerce team at Yum! Brands set off on a journey to consolidate and modernize the key services that drive the business of their Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants. They started with order processing and learned a lot along the way. It's been a journey, but over 80% of all orders are now a Temporal Workflow. Today, Temporal is spreading into new workloads as grassroots adoption has taken hold across a broader team.

In this talk, Matt will provide an update from last year's talk and also talk through how they use Temporal.
