Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Seaflo diaphragm pump. This is gonna provide a consistent high volume flow of fresh water to up to six fixtures in your boat or RV. This does utilize the variable flow technology that's going to allow the pump to provide the amount of water that you demand without cycling. So basically when you have your faucet open, it's going to have the built-in pressure switch, start the pump. When you close your faucet, the pump is going to stop.

This does have a five chamber diaphragm, that's gonna provide 5.5 gallons per minute of flow at 16 pounds per square inch of pressure. So that's pretty close to what you're used to at home. So it's not gonna feel like it's just trickling out, it should give you a nice water pressure to wash your hands or take a shower and that sort of thing. This does have a self priming design that's gonna remove air from the pipeline to help eliminate air binding or that spluttering that you get when you have air in your lines. This unit is capable of up to six feet of suction lift or vertical priming.

So keep that in mind when deciding where to mount this. It should be no less than six feet lower than your shower head to ensure that you'll still get all that pressure that you need when you're taking the shower. This does have a heavy duty corrosion resistant motor that's gonna run dry without causing damage. It's also going to have an enclosed housing with sealed switches that block the moisture from getting in. So you're not gonna have to worry about that.

It does have a maximum water temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit. On the backside here you can see, we do have these semi rigid rubber feet that are going to help reduce excessive vibration or noise. So when you're mounting this, you will put your hardware through those feet, on there. You wanna make sure that you're not tightening down that hardware too much, or you're going to reduce the vibration absorption of the feet there. So the hardware to get this mounted is not included, but you will just run on some screws or bolts through the feet here.

These openings in the feet are spaced right about 3 1/4 of an inch across by 2 1/4 of an inch tall. Our overall dimensions in the orientation that I have it here, it's right at 8 5/8, just over 8 1/2 inches tall. Our width with our assembly put in place here, we're looking at approximately, 11 1/4 of an inch wide. And then our depth to our feet completely uncompressed here is gonna be right about 5 1/2 inches. And now you will wanna make sure that if you're gonna be in tight quarters, you're gonna have enough room that your hoses can connect to our hose barbs here without kinking. So you wanna have a nice smooth angle there. These hose barbs will attach to your half inch tubing. It is recommended that you use a flexible tubing to again, minimize the amount of noise that comes from your pump turning on and that sort of thing. This can be mounted in really any orientation, but they do recommend that if you mount it in the vertical orientation, that you have the motor assembly on top to avoid the possibility of any water leaking in there, if there we're to be any leaks. So just make sure that if you are gonna mount it vertically, mount it like I have it here. This is going to draw about 17 amps max on your 12 volt DC system. It is recommended that you have a dedicated circuit with a switch to turn off the pump when it's not gonna be used for extended periods of time. And it is also recommended that you have a 25 amp fuse on that, on your wiring for the pump. So good idea to make sure you have that dedicated circuit when you get this all wired in place. So overall, really nice option here to provide that high volume flow of fresh water to your boat or RV's fixtures. Again, it will work for up to six of those fixtures. So really nice option here if you're needing to replace your current one, or you wanna switch out for a little bit higher power, this will do a great job for you. So that's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
