Starting Red Threaded 1780's Front Lacing Stays and How to Make an 18th Century Petticoat

Hello Friends!
Welcome to Week 3 of my Speed run! I am attempting to make a small witchy 18th century wardrobe in the span of 4 weeks, and so far, I seem to be doing alright! I have already made a black Chemise a la Reine, and in this video, I will make a black petticoat to wear under that, as well as start on some black linen stays. The pattern I am attempting is the RedThreaded 1780's Front Lacing Stays and so farm they seem to fit really well! Join me in making the petticoat, mocking up and fitting the stays, and then cutting out a LOT of fabric for the final pair, as well as marking boning channel lines.

A little bit of a warning on this video: there's some really bummer news in it, largely about one of my cats, as well as the reason why I am making this dress, so if you are in a sensitive place right now, this may not be the time to watch this one!
