I’m gonna swear. This is an edgy video so I can do that right? Okay. I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG. I FUCKING LOVE NIRU KAJITSU SO MUCH, SHAMA IS A GAY ANTHEM. After kind of wallowing over Hated by life itself, I really wanted to do a song that I knew was in my range and that I KNEW I would have a lot of fun singing- I was definitely inspired by miy_yuu's cover. This was that song. Although I spent a while agonizing over how to translate the title drop (Me, sweating furiously: Okay “gai” in “kanchigai” sounds weird split up but it sounds weird sliding together too???? Would a slide on “loved” work??? FUCK). Overall, the lyrics of this song are less about making sense and more about sounding good (LOTS of rhyming from word to word), so that’s what I went for in my translyrics. Hopefully my mix is okay too LOL (how to mix like oktavia throw on effects and alter the volume until you give up and say “okay close enough”)
