Cal Kestis Crossguard Lightsaber! (Saberbay Survivor)

Описание к видео Cal Kestis Crossguard Lightsaber! (Saberbay Survivor)

I finally had the opportunity to work on the Saberbay Survivor lightsaber! I've worked on nearly all of the different versions of this hilt made by various manufacturers, but I have never gotten the chance to work on what is considered the best out of all of them. Saberbay and Jimmy's Saber Junk knocked this hilt out of the park, everything is designed beautifully, the accuracy is phenomenal, and the install was a breeze (for the most part). The only real trouble came from figuring out how to best diffuse the crossguard blades, and after a lot of experiments I am very happy with the results. Other than that, this was a very enjoyable build!

-- For The Owner --

Steps to swap between single blade setup and crossguard:
1. Remove the main chassis from the hilt.
2. Unscrew the metal ring on the emitter with your hands or use double sided tape to assist.
2. Pull out the shrouds.
3. Loosen the bottom retention screw on each side of the emitter.
4. Unscrew the emitter and copper ring from the button/collar section you want to swap.
4. Remove the two box greeblies from the handle.
5. Loosen all 6 retention screws from underneath the greeblies you just removed.
6. Take out the black metal piece.
Everything should come apart after that. Then just swap the single button section and the crossguard section and reverse the process. Remember to reuse the same 6 retention screws that go under the 2 box greeblies, preferably move them to the same places to allow the boxes to sit flat. If the boxes don't sit flat, swap the screws around until they do, or just sand the screw more. Follow the video for more detail, and how to correctly adjust orientations of the emitter and pommel/handle.

-- Things to keep in mind about the lightsaber --

- This is installed with Proffie v3.9, running OS 7.
- A copy of the Config file is in the SD Card.
- Bluetooth App: ForceSync
- Bluetooth Passcode: 000000
- Link for the button controls are further down in this description.
- You will need to change the config between 1 and 2 buttons depending on the saber setup.
- Be gentle with the twist/click chassis, don't overdo it as to preserve the life of the button chassis section in the neck.
- Add the 3M tape I provided to the 2 hilt boxes if you want them to be more secure. (Will need replacing over time if removed a lot).
- To swap crossguard and single blade setups, follow the directions above.
- To correctly orient the emitter and pommel/handle, rewatch the video.
- Be sure to check the screws holding the crossguards in place, the black ones, they get loose over time.
- Don't over tighten the retention screws for the swappable button/neck sections.
- Battery negative goes towards the speaker/pommel, battery positive goes towards the soundboard/emitter.

(Most of this will come best through practice, but it's good to keep all this in mind.)
