Samurai Shodown III: Gaira playthrough lvl-4 【60fps】

Samurai Shodown 3: Blades of Blood / Samurai Spirits Zankurō Musōken.

In the past, Gaira witnessed Zankuro slaughtering his way through a village, killing anyone unfortunate enough to end up in his path. Gaira couldn't bring himself to intervene.
He could only watch, terrified.
Now, with newfound resolve, he seeks to confront Zankuro once and for all — wishing to redeem himself.

I use the "Profound Pummel" special move a lot because it's one of my favorite moves in the game. Not for efficacy reasons, but simply because it looks so damn cool. And I love how it (and the ground pound) scorches the opponent, unlike in the other games.

The playthrough recorded in 2017 has now been retired.

Infinite love for the SS3 version of Gaira. His animation looks sooo goooood. Hard to understand why they downgraded him aesthetically so much for SS4.
Not only that but I also think his normals and special moves are more interesting/satisfying here than in the later games, as well as the voice acting and overall demeanor.

I feel compelled to say he's my all time favorite fighting game character, but only his SS3 version!
