What’s up everyone today I set up my Blue-tongued lizards! They can be VERY rewarding reptiles to keep. They have a ton of personality packed into that weenier dog style body! Today I talk about everything from setup essentials to feeding! Hopefully this will inspire someone to bring one home as a pet! I go over topics like humidity, what to feed them, housing, and more!


SKINK FACTS BELOW
The Blue Tongue Skink is an omnivore and enjoys various edible vegetation in its habitat. These skinks are large, calm, and have distinct personalities, making them popular pets. A spacious enclosure with plenty of hiding spots, burrowing areas, diggable substrate, and gentle climbing slopes is recommended. Hotspots reaching up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity spikes during the day are ideal. Since these lizards are omnivores, it's important to include plants that offer beneficial nutrition and are not harmful or toxic when ingested. Growing healthy edibles in their vivariums, such as mint, basil, oregano, hibiscus, cabbage, kale, and spineless opuntia, allows them to forage naturally.
