PROXIMAL HAMSTRING TENDINOPATHY REHAB EXERCISES

Описание к видео PROXIMAL HAMSTRING TENDINOPATHY REHAB EXERCISES

In this video, I'll show you some effective rehab exercises for proximal hamstring tendinopathy. If you're dealing with this issue, these exercises can help you recover and get back to feeling your best!

An important differential for buttock pain!

Symptoms may also occur due to excessive use of static stretches, for example, yoga and Pilates postures that involve sustained end-range hip flexion. In some patients, compressive load simply from sitting is the main load-inciting factor
Systemic factors may also influence risk of PHT. These are suggested to include genetic polymorphisms, age, body mass index, metabolic issues hormonal changes, and, rarely, medication all of which may increase the risk of developing tendinopathy. Perimenopausal women with PHT are likely to have a systemic predisposition to their tendon pain, as loss of estrogen at menopause is thought to negatively influence tendon homeostasis. Systemic factors are thought to reduce the threshold for tendon pain and pathology from load-related factors.

📚PHT can commonly be experienced with long-distance runners and hurdlers. It is not typically associated with a single inciting event, but instead represents a chronic degenerative process produced by mechanical overload and repetitive stretch.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
📚Much like any tendinopathy, there are always intrinsic and extrinsic factors that have a role to play in the pathology development. In order to fully resolve the issue these need to be addressed within the rehab process.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
📚As with many conditions around the hip and pelvis, we do have tests that we can use that will help our reasoning process, but I wanted to clarify a few of what they were and how good they were too!⁣⁣⁣
