Dynasty Warriors 3 - Battle at Hu Lao Gate | Xiahou Dun (Very Hard)

Xiahou Dun's S-string is very safe to do as it hits all around him. Probably one of the easiest characters to start Very Hard with if you didn't want to use one of the Death element users.

I left Hua Xiong alive so Guan Yu could instant kill him, well turns out Hua Xiong killed Guan Yu first.

Yuan Shao's AI as a commander has always been really good, however in He Fei on his side in XL, he can end up dying in under a minute due to the mechanics of this game's stats.

You see with DW3, if you increase your Defense stat, it also increases the enemy's attack, including bow attack. If you were to play as a character with high defense, Yuan Shao's bow defense won't be enough for Wu's increased bow attack, and they will absolutely shred him.

This is also why it's commonly believed Guan Yu has the lowest bow defense. His weapons give Defense, but not Bow Defense. So whilst he reduces damage from melee attacks, he has nothing to compensate the increased bow attack that enemies have, so he ends up taking a lot of damage from them.

Just one of those weird quirks in DW, like how an higher Rank means the enemies become strong with better AI. But you can circumvent that by having a low rank be player 1, and let the high rank be player 2 and absolutely curbs tomp them.
