Bass Cover of Santana Soul Sacrifice.

Some anecdotes to help other newb players:

1. I spent over a year "learning" this song. It's actually quite simple. I kept avoiding working on the hard parts toward the end and just kept practicing the main groove I learned a year ago. It took me about a half day to learn the hard parts by putting those parts into a looper and practicing them at 0.5x speed over and over again.... And over and over again.

2. I kept referring to the bass tabs all the time and I tend to use those as a crutch. Once you know the parts, ditch the tabs and listen to the song. This was also holding me back. It took a day or so to re-learn the song without having to use the tabs.

3. I think I nailed down the recording set up. I wasn't happy with my first vids because the bass amp LINE-OUT LEVEL was set too low and these vids are supposed to have the bass levels higher to show off the groove. Set that sucker at the amp to 100% and adjust levels via whatever mixer you have. It's what it's for.

4. My Fender amp has a line out to a 90's tascam mixer, which I use to mix all the sound before it gets routed back to the computer via a Focus rite (I use the cheap scarlett solo). The digital mixer is mainly just to record it. It makes the template for the digital file simple to maintain.
