Two Different techniques to do 3D Acrylic Flowers

Ey up duck! In today's video, I’m going to be looking at two different ways to create 3D Flowers, Fay already has an amazing set that she has just had on for two weeks there is a tiny bit of growth but there is no need for a fill yet so we are just going to add a little something extra to this set.

I'll start out by buffing the area where I’m going to be fitting the 3D so we have great adhesion.

Method one

I'm going to be creating my first flower of the nail so ill take a piece of backing paper from a nail form and lay that down, then I want to create some height so ill take a bead of clear acrylic and ill place that on my backing paper and then we can sit one of these beautiful jewels on the acrylic and that will be the centre of my first flower.

Now I have some Nailchemy Genesis acrylics I’m going to start with the dark purple ill place a bead on the backing paper and leave it there for a few seconds then ill flatten those beads out in to a croissant shape, when the petals start to turn matte ill sweep my brush under the petal to release it from the form and then I can attach the wet side of the petal to the centre and wrap that around to create our first petal and ill continue doing this around to build the flower then I can do the same with the pink and the orange.

With my flower created ill add some shading to the pinking orange petals using the purple acrylic and we are ready to stick this flower onto the nail and ill use clear acrylic for this one on the area that we buffed over and place the flower into that and then we can pop some more acrylic underneath just to make sure everything is totally stuck.

Method Two

My next flower il be building on the nail ill start with a bead of the dark purple and ill place that on the nail and work that into a ball shape, and then ill take another bead and press that up to my centre and start to flatten it out into a petal shape ill give it chance to partially set up and then lift that and wrap it around the centre bead, then I can just repeat this process until I’m happy with how the flower is looking once again moving on to the pink and then the orange Acrylic.

Now I can finish these off with some bling give them a layer of top coat and a splash of cuticle oil and that’s it! Thanks for watching and ill see you at the next one! T’Rah Duck!
