Williamson & Tyndall via Shepherd Pass

Three day hike in High Sierras: August 8th-11th 2023. Reached the Shepherd Pass in the first day after a sleepless night driving to Independence, CA. During the second day climbed Mount Williamson. The third day climbed Tyndall and returned to trailhead.
This was an arduous route: even reaching the pass requires over 2000m of elevation gain. The climbing route is demanding too: reasonably technical, and to Williamson quite long and on difficult terrain.
The weather was a bit tricky: clouds with some spells of rain, especially during the second day when I climbed Williamson, and caught some rain w/ a bit of thunderstorm on the return trip. The good part was that I had an overcast sky, which provided nice shade during the initial ascent, however some views were covered by the clouds. Still some patches of snow and crampons and ice-axe were used.
