Pokémon Games Should Be Better

Game Freak has been the head studio making Pokémon games since the beginning. They have had their trials and tribulation most notably with Pokémon Sword and Shield and the controversy surrounding its national pokedex and everything that followed. With the upcoming release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Pokémon Shining Pearl Game Freak looks to stick to the formula that works. However following it in early 2022 is Pokémon Legends Arceus a new take on Pokémon games looking to take more of the RPG elements in the franchise to the next level. With hints of Pokémon Colosseum and Xd Gale of Darkness, it looks to hold promise. If all else fails I think Nintendo should let Monolith Soft (The Xenoblade Chronicles team) take a stab at it. There expertise in crafting huge open world rpgs on the switch is a match made in heaven. Pokémon as an IP is in a great spot with the thriving Pokemon Go app and the trading cards at a new level of popularity. But there is more that can be done.
