Manfred Mann's Earthband is famous for their inspiring covers of Springsteen songs. On the album "The Roaring Silence" (1976) the cover of "Blinded By The Light" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. A year before the cover of "Spirits In The Night" on the album "Nightingale & Bombers" (1975) reached the Top 40.
In 1980 the third Springsteen cover "For You" was released on the album "Chance". Remarkably all those songs are from Springsteens debut album "Greetings from Asbury Park". This album must have had a great impact on Manfred Mann.
