50 g butter
2 tbsp oil
1 kg onions
4 tbsp paprika powder (sweet and smokey)
1 tbsp dried Marjoram
1 heap tbsp tomato paste
1 kg beef cut in chunks (neck or shoulder)
500 ml beef stock
300 ml of water
500 g root veggies
500 g potatoes


Soda Bread
300 g white flour (plain / all purpose)
265 g wholemeal flour (wholewheat, Note 1)
2 - 3 tbsp extra flour (either flour, for dusting)
1,5 tsp baking soda
1,5 tsp salt
500 ml buttermilk , fridge cold
