Stihl 064 vs. ms461

Had to do a little splicing on this one....
Here we have my 064 that is in standard Insane-o trim going against an Insane-o ss ms461 that's headed back East.
An outing with Master Payton for some saw testing on this day.
There is some psycho-babble about chains, comparatively speaking, in this test session as compared to the previous ones. Payton is pretty astute and alert on some of the differences and asked quite a few questions.
By my observation, the timed runs were pretty much the same for both saws.
But like I also said, the 064 has a lot of volume under it's belt and is sporting a non oem piston. I've wondered quite a bit on whether or not that has affected performance. The 461, in this state of tune runs better than the 066/660/661 saws that are in a stock arrangement.
Next up for the 064, if I can find a good oem cylinder that is , will be upgrading it to Insane-o ss status and give the little bro something to think about. Or, shoehorn a 660 cylinder assembly in and see how well the 461s like it then!!!
