Proving Belief Wrong - Acoustic

I like to play pretend
act out wit beyond my own
with courage and compassion
I myself do not hold
I like to sing of love and
run when it comes
I hold these truths irrational
fact and fiction mean the same thing to me

it is peculiar
how so many people care
we became overwhelmed there
with what we'd overcome
we saw an end dear
and gave it away
to grieve yet more pain here
all in the name of faith
the morning mist gave way to clouds that continued to rain

proving our
belief wrong
changed hearts
nevertheless carry on
