Batman Forever Directed by Tim Burton

Years ago, director Tim Burton created two dark, frequently gothic, superhero films, Batman (1989) and Batman Returns. He was set direct a third Batman film, but the studio wanted to reach a wider audience and hired Joel Schumache as director while Tim Burton served as producer. Following this change, the series received a lighter, campier tone, with lots of humor, and ugly neon lights.

This trailer is my attempt to create of what Burton may have created if he had been allowed to direct the third Batman film in his own style. I challenged myself to keep the previous films original cast and to avoid too many shots obviously taken from Burton's or Schumacher's Batman films. I also recast the Riddler as Robin Williams, following early casting choices by the studio.
