93 Prostar Restoration Project pt.7

GAS TANK DAY, So my fuel tank sat for entirely to long and was VERY nasty. I tried everything and could not get the ethanol sludge to un-bond from the fuel cell, Extremely frustrating! I tried simple green, ZEP commercial grade cleaner, totally awesome, even pool acid. nothing would break this nasty sludge loose.

Next I used denatured ethanol, wasn't a bad start scale 6 of 10. I highly recommend using M.E.K. doesn't matter the brand, I used Sherwin Williams. This stuff is hard to find in stock or was for me.

Please check out the video, it work amazing. DO NOT get this on your skin or smell it, very strong! Wear the proper PPE before handling it.

I also Installed the new fuel pick up and reinstalled the flange.
