EzGo Speed Gear's/Rear end removal & tear down Part 1

Описание к видео EzGo Speed Gear's/Rear end removal & tear down Part 1

We finally removed the rear end from our 2002 EzGo to install a set of speed gears from Cart Parts Plus (Link Below), We have roughly a 13:1 ratio stock and are upgrading to a 8:1 ratio. We currently run around 20-22 @ roughly 4500 RPM's. I am hoping to improve this by 12-15 mph.

The removal of the Transaxle is not in the video because i tried to keep the video as short as possible. Tear down on the axle is pretty simple, Splitting the case was a different story, (IF YOU HAVE THE OLD MODEL EZGO WITH A "2 CABLE" SHIFTER YOU WILL NEED A DRIVEN PULLEY PULLER) we ending up cutting our bracket off, I split the case with a flat head screw drivers and hammer. I've listed the pullers I used to pull the pulleys off and you'll need a bearing puller as well.

After that we cleaning up any mess we made inside the case and scraped up the old gasket and used the new Permatex Ultra Black Power Bead RTV Adhesive 9.5oz, made for a quick easy non-messy gasket & reinstalled the case to itself.

PLEASE be careful taking the case apart to ensure you don't lose anything, I also broke 1 of my ISO mounts for the rear end & the other was already broken(i'll list parts below)& i broke to u-bolts Instead of putting factory parts back on the cart we have a surprise for the "FIX" on our rear selection of the lift.

Enjoy, and please subscribe.
