OC Transpo: Raven Road Bus-Only Roadway Extension (3 different routes, 6 different views)

Two years ago (on October 18, 2020), a new transit priority measure went into operations that would improve service between Bronson Avenue and Carleton University. This new transit priority was to extend Raven Road (an internal roadway at Carleton University) to Bronson Avenue.

The newly built extension portion of the Raven Road is for buses only, while existing portion of Raven Road remains open for all traffic.

The opening of the Raven Road Bus-Only Roadway Extension resulted in minor route changes to Routes 2 (R2 / Line 2 Bus), 10, and 111, affecting how they operate through Carleton University.

Additionally, three new bus stops were added within Carleton University to coincide with the opening of the Raven Road Bus-Only Roadway Extension, the locations are: Raven Road/University Drive (two stops, once in each direction), and University Drive/Stadium Way.

This video shows the routing on three different routes in both direction, six different views.

(Please note that the videos were taken during the COVID-19 pandemic when classes at Carleton were at the time being held virtually, therefore traffic level and travel times seen in the video clips at Carleton and on Bronson Avenue may NOT accurately reflect how it would be under normal circumstances when classes are held in-person. )
