P L O T S U M M A R Y :
Tatsuichiro Akizuki (1916 - 2005) was a Japanese physician and former director of St. Francis Hospital, Nagasaki. At the time the atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, he himself was exposed to the atomic bomb, and as a doctor he treated injured survivors. While working as a doctor, he also spent many years collecting testimonies about the atomic bombing. This work was produced in 2005 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the atomic bombing . This work is an animated version of the atomic bombing and medical relief work that Akizuki experienced.
