This bowl was made from a Florida Live Oak tree. The tree was cut into firewood size pieces and left on the side of the road. Florida Live Oak wood can be a challenge to turn due to its denseness. None the less it is always worth it demonstrated by the beauty of the grain when it is all done. I didn't find any live bugs this time but the reminisce of them can be found all around the rim of the bowl. This bowl and many others I have made are in my Etsy shop.
