Try This Forgotten British Classic, It's AMAZING!...

Fagg*ts mash, peas and a rich onion gravy is a simple British classic that seems to get forgotten about in recent years. Maybe people don't like it as much or see it as a bit fuddy duddy, but I absolutely love it. You could make your own, but I mean who honestly has time for that when the pre made ones can be so so good. You could opt for the popular Mr Brains, but honestly I find the local butcher make far superior ones that are bigger and taste a lot better. Of course these offal based meatballs would not be complete without a luscious rich onion gravy, and smooth buttery mash, and I'm going to show you how to make both because I'm nice like that.

To make my Fagg*ts, mash, peas and onion gravy you will need:
Serves at least 3 adults
For the onion gravy
►2 medium sized onions
►500ml of beef stock
►1 bay leaf
►2 tsp Worcestershire sauce3
►1+1/2 tsp sage or thyme
►1 tbsp butter
►1 tbsp plain flour
►6 fagg*ts from the butchers (if smaller add a couple more)
For the mash
►6 large maris piper potatoes (or other floury type potato)
►About 200g of unsalted butter
►White pepper
►A splash of milk (about 100ml)
►Salt
Serve with peas or veg of your choice
