350 changed to 500SD fired up for first time after 37 years! This engine is running on own designed main bearings. The bike is a project, with its main goal to reach, ride and finish in the upcoming Ducati Clubraces 2014, testing the durability of the main bearings and the re-routed oilfeed to the camshafts. No oil-cooler yet, the necessity for one will show during the temp measurements on the testbench. The oilfeed is blancked off in the crankcases, the camshafts have the aluminium stops removed from, the LEFT camshaft is drilled through on the roller bearing side and fitted with a 2RS sealed bearing; the the camshafts are connected by an aluminium bush with 2 sealing orings to allow the oil from the left side to travel to the right by means of a brake line with orifice in banjo bolt.

Basic configuration:
-std cylinders and pistons
-500 desmo head with new valve seats and 600SS valves
-std desmo cams (if anyone has the racing desmo cams available pls let me know!)
-std crankshaft
-lightend and polished connecting rods
-lightend oilpump sprocket
-lightend timing chain sprocket
-no startmotor with idle gears
-no flywheel (no rotor nor stator, just a bare cranckshaft end on the left)
-500GTL front and rear wheels and rims, having AVON AM20 (90/90-18) and AM22 (110/80-18) tyres
-std 30mm dellorto carbs
-simple wiring loom (SACHSE iginition with mains relay, and an on/off switch
-organic brakepads (because of cast-iron brake discs)
