Santi Shi (Trinity Pile Standing Meditation) is THE foundational exercise for Xingyiquan training. It is traditionally done for intensively for a long time before any of the Xingyi forms are taught. We are not training Xingyiquan in this series, but there is a lot to be gained from doing Santi Shi as a standing meditation. Our primary focus today is on the alchemy that is produced by awareness of pairs of body parts: feet/hands, ankles/wrists, knees/elbows, hips/shoulder blades.
