How important is peel prep?

Well… if you want a great peel session and end result – it’s VERY important.
Milder, hydroxy acids like glycolic, mandelic, lactic and salicylic don’t require as much prep….
But if you are doing a stronger peel such as a TCA or Jessners, your prepping is extremely important.
Let’s get into WHY you should prep your skin - and how simple that can be. ..Also, if you are on a budget – what is the most important thing to use.

If you aren't sure WHICH peel is best for your skin - See our Peel Finder Tool here: https://www.platinumskincare.com/peel...

You can also build a full regimen here: https://www2.platinumskincare.com/reg...

Make sure you have daily exfoliation. Here are some great options:

Normal skin - https://www.platinumskincare.com/revi...
Acne or Oily skin - https://www.platinumskincare.com/ab-c...
All non-sensitive skin - https://www.platinumskincare.com/basi...

Daily acid serum is another great choice: https://www.platinumskincare.com/seru...

Topical Retinoids for evening usage like Fusion A: https://www.platinumskincare.com/fusi...

Do you have ethnic skin? Fitzpatrick 3-6? Then Fade Bright is mandatory for TCA and Jessners peels. 3-4 weeks PRIOR to doing your peel. See that here: https://www.platinumskincare.com/fade...

Do you already have Antioxidants in your regimen? They help to FIX and PREVENT damages in the skin's DNA. Vitamin C is a super common one. Like here: https://www.platinumskincare.com/high...

SPF's are mandatory. 50 is a great number. Apply that daily and REapply if you are outdoors for 2 hours.
