TCA Eye Peel Tutorial | Demonstration + After Care

Hi there. It’s Jennifer and today we are going to talk about (and DEMO) how to apply a chemical peel on the eye area SAFELY.
The most commonly used acid to get dramatic changes on the eye area is TCA.

If you are looking to tighten up loose skin, minimize crow’s feet, lighten pigmentation and increase the general firmness of the eye area, than a Peel may be just what you need.

First things first. Warnings and recommendations.
If you are prone to fever blisters, pretreat that with a prescription prior to performing any peel.
If you are dealing with sun damage or have a naturally darker skin tone, pretreat the area with Fade Bright for 2 weeks prior to performing a peel.
Keep a bottle of Saline eye wash handy in case solution gets into your eye. *Now, this won’t happen if you follow the directions we give you, but always be prepared.
Last one – ONLY do this peel 1x per month. The skin on the eye area is thinner and we need to be gentler with our treatments.
And now the FUN part. Let me Walk you through the process and demonstrate the application.
And remember --- you DON”T have to do your entire eye area as I am going to demonstrate. If you only have a small area you want to work on – that is fine. Apply only where you need.

You may follow this with Emu oil or our Essentials Healing Blend if you wish for more hydration.
If you do not have our Eye Peel Kit, then apply a healing oil to your eye area.

Now, we are complete, so here is what to expect next.
Your eyes MAY possibly swell a bit if you are very sensitive. If that happens a cool compress is exactly what you need. An anti-inflammatory oil such as Emu oil would also be very helpful.
Over the course of the next few days your eye area will become dry – it could possibly become darker too - which is the dead skin getting ready to come off.
Keep your eye area hydrated.
You generally won’t see “peeling” flakes of the skin – but you will definitely see how dry the eye area is. When you wash with a cloth, be gentle as you wipe across the eyes. In about 7 days time average – you will notice that all the dead skin is gone and your eyes will be very smooth.
You may even notice that they look better already – but generally it will take a bit of time.
TCA has been shown to continually stimulate collagen in the skin for up to 8 months. So you will notice over the course of the next few months your skin getting better and better. Continue using antiaging products such as our Platinum Eyes Restoration Therapy and Matrixyl Synthe’6 2x per day for best results.
