Yoga looks different for everyone. Being a mom I get to explore an entire new practice which is shared with three other beautiful souls.

For a long time I would feel so frustrated getting onto my mat to do a workout and be constantly interrupted that I wanted to give up. Having young children there is always so much to do to take care of them that its challenging to make the time to take care of my self.

I was frustrated that my yoga practice didn’t look like the yogis on YouTube. Why couldn’t it be easy for me? But the answer was because I was trying to create a practice that wasn’t for me, or for my girls for that matter. When I realized I needed to let go of setting expectations for my practice I began to Witness this beautiful relationship unfold right before my eyes.

Children are so pure. They want to learn and understand the world around them. They only know what is true for them Not for your expectations of them or anyone else’s. They are pure emotion and energy just waiting to learn what it is about the world that connects us all, and they begin to learn about this connection from imitating their parents.

There Is one universal connection that connects us all and that is to have faith in the Divine. It is through yoga practice that you then begin to realize that You are divine. When you surrender to moment you are connected to divine and this is exactly what I did to create a yoga practice at home with my children.
