First experience of van life in Canada: Free waterfront camping, grocery shopping, & sightseeing

Ep. 251 - Time to figure out van life in Canada as we explore Ontario along Lake Ontario in our self-built Ford Transit camper van with our cat, Lady Gray.

Arriving in St. Catharines, our first stop was at Lock 1 on the Welland Canal that connects Lake Ontario to Lake Erie. We arrived at the perfect time to see a massive freighter, the Algoma Sault, attempting to fit through the narrow canal. After getting groceries at No Frills, next we looked for a free boondocking spot and found great free waterfront camping in Port Dalhousie listed on iOverlander. We loved spending time near the Port Dalhousie East Pier. While it's pretty amazing visiting the grandiose attractions of the world such as Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, and Zion these quiet moments along the water are still some of our favorite kinds of moments. These are the kinds of moments where we are extra thankful that we are able to travel full time in our self-built tiny home on wheels!
