Being a Physical Therapist Assistant is a challenging but extremely rewarding job. It requires patience, empathy and the ability to analyze and evaluate individual situations. With these characteristics and the desire to help others heal physically and mentally, you can excel in SLCC’s Physical Therapist Assistant program.

We offer a small student-to-teacher ratio, which means an individualized learning environment and small classes taught by experienced Physical Therapists who bring years of knowledge and expertise to the program. Our student-centered curriculum integrates technology and e-Education and includes student-participation in an on-site physical therapy pro bono clinic. As a SLCC PTA student, you will get hands-on, clinical experience in a variety of settings, including hospitals, care centers, private practice, rehabilitation agencies, and schools.

Our students enjoy tremendous success as Physical Therapist Assistants: 90% of our admitted students graduate from the program, 100% of students who responded to our survey are employed, and 100% of our program graduates who took the national PTA licensing exam passed (all statistics based on a three year average).
