In this video we will discuss the difference between hypertrophy and atrophy.

Hypertrophy is the increase in muscle mass or muscle size due to the repeated use of skeletal muscles.

Atrophy is the absence or loss of muscle mass or musle size due to the lack of use of the skeletal muscles.

Make sure you know what these terms mean, it is likely that you could see these on the MBLEx. The MBLEx will cover anywhere from 11% to 12% of Kinesiology, meaning there is a chance there will be 11 to 12 questions covering this type of material.
