10 August 2024 offered weak slope winds on the Jura ridge. This video shows the 143 km stretch from Marchairuz to Egerkingen, covered at an average speed of 107 km/h at low altitudes. These slope winds are thermodynamic breezes, also called thermally driven slope winds by meteorologists ( https://link.springer.com/article/10.... ). This flight is a part of the #MORE project (Meteorologic & Orographic Range Extension).
